Thank you. I LOVE making them - totally addicting and brings kind of peace, thinking of babies and all. Do you feel that way too?
Your blankets sounds beautiful, unusual and - yummy!

I hope to have the patterns for 'You Are My Sunshine' and 'My Ocean of Love' out on ravelry this weekend.
The sun is already out on etsy :
( http://www.etsy.com/listing/97513843/you-are-my-sunshine-pdf-pattern-for-baby?ref=sr_gallery_42&ga_search_query=baby+blanket+pattern&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all)

And funny enough - I am working on a pattern of an apple (for a baby blanket), and just about finished the first one, but it's far from being ready as a pattern. Other things coming are hearts - hopefully in time for Mother's day as a lap blanket, a shawl with the sailboat pattern (and a vest), and a chart for the imaginary tree. And - no. I don't sleep at night...

Lovely baby blankets ... the last two I knit were lace patterned baby blankets. Both were knit from Dale Baby Ull. One was the color of Granny Smith apples, and the other a deep raspberry. The recipients were pleased because they were "not traditional colors for babies." :)

Thank you!
I think it's the colors in the 'sailboat' that is appealing. It's the combination of a lot of blue or green, with dots of red and orange (like butterflies on greenery or parrots in a jungle). Maybe it's both calming and positive.

To my surprise, I like the sailboats the best! I'm not a water person (motion sickness usually taints my feelings about this), but the scene looks so calm and lovely. After that, the gorgeous tree gets my second favorite boat. Lovely, lovely work!
