Tree and lake
7"X10"

This picture is done with a different chart. It's a picture of looking at the bridge from the boathouse.
These are pictures of the boathouse at Meher Spiritual Center. They are knitted with the same chart (apart for the very last one) :

Blue & white 7"X13" (top left)
The original picture, knitted in 2005
2 colors, needles # 7us, St.st

Sunset  (top, right)
used 2 variegated yarns, Encore colors spun by Plymouth for the lake, and Marks&Kattens multi mohair for the boathouse/dark color

Colorful  (middle, left)
Rainbow colors instead of one dark yarn

at Night 9"X12"  (middle, right)
Local color instead of the 2 on the chart

This chart is magical, it's possibilities endless. Even though it demands attention, as you can see the chart is very simple. I still have on my list to try it in 2 sided knitting, quilting technique, small local yarns and by the time I will do these I am sure there will be other ideas in line.
The Boathouse at Fall
17 X 20

This picture is done with the same chart, but knitted sideways. I used variegated brown yarn for the boathouse and trees. For the lake and sky I used 3 blue yarns and the 3 yarn technique .
Instead of knitting a gauge piece I decided that each purl row will be a repeat of the row before (blue=blue, brown=brown. This gave the picture a 'computer card' effect.
