This page is similar to the 'easiest' page,
so it is still 'knit only', but with some extra works and ideas:

Bobbi's HAT: pick up assortment of yarns, remember you are knitting the way the hat will be from side to side (not upward)
Cast on enough sts for 11" and knit 2 rows.
Cut yarn, leaving 4" tail, tie that to the new yarn leaving about 4" tail on the new yarn too. No need to be accurate - you can give the hat a haircut later.
Knit 2 rows, cut yarn...attach...knit 2 rows...
Knit until you have about 18-20" or enough to go around the head you have in mind.
Sew the caston line to the bind off, thread yarn through the top of the hat (the part with the yarn hanging) and pull, tie and wear happily.

Use the same technique to knit an easy FRINGED SCARF:
Decide how long you want your scarf to be,  and cast on enough sts. for that length. You may want to use circular needles.
Now - knit 1 row, cut yarn leaving a tail - if you want a long fringe leave a 6" tail for example. Attach the new yarn - leaving same long tail, knit 1 row, cut yarn leaving the same length tail, attach next yarn etc.
Knit until the scarf is as wide as you wish, bind off and cut the fringe for a tidy look.

For a LACY SCARF (and you can use this technique in vests too):
use 2 different size needles, one for most of the scarf, and a few size bigger needle for the lacy effect. For example, for about 6" wide scarf:
Cast on 12 sts on 11us needles.
Knit 3 rows
Knit 1 row with 13us or 15us needles - depend on how 'lacy' you want it to be.
Knit until desired length and bind off.
