This site is about knitting pictures for art sake. It has a gallery of my knitted pictures, a free explanation of how to knit your own pictures and some special techniques. Knitting pictures is not that difficult: just choose a picture, copy it on graph paper and knit each stitch according to that chart.
PERSIAN KNITTING - in the past few years I realised I knit a little differently from the American or European way. Since I do not remember anybody teaching me how to knit, I used to think I just taught myself wrong. However, in one of my workshops there was a lady from Iran, and she knits in the same way I do. Since my aunts came to Israel from Iran, I assume this is the source of my way of knitting. I highly recommend it, especially for stockinette stitch. This way of knitting is simple, faster and makes knitting with color easy. You can see more about it in the Persian Knitting page.
